Warrego Highway damage

The Warrego is one of the harshest roads on glass in South East Queensland: high speed, heavy freight and long stretches of loose surface at roadworks. Marburg vehicles that use it daily collect damage faster than almost anyone on our books.

Talk it through with a technician
  • Highway-speed impacts

Freight-thrown stone at 100 km/h makes deep breaks. On a Warrego commuter, a fresh chip needs attention within days.

  • Farm utes and machinery glass

Tray-backs, tractors' cab glass and heavy vehicles are routine for us. We do trucks, so a farm ute is easy.

  • No distance charge

Marburg is inside our service area. You are not paying for the drive out.

Old screen cut out cleanly, the pinchweld prepped and primed, new glass bonded with automotive urethane to the correct bead height.

60–90 minutes

Side & rear glass

Door glass, quarter glass and rear windows, including vacuuming the shattered tempered glass out of the door cavity, carpet and seat rails.

Marburg FAQs

What locals ask

General questions on the full FAQ page.

Do you really come all the way out to Marburg?

Yes, and there is no call-out fee for it. Marburg is inside our service area and we run out that way regularly. Because we are Ipswich-based rather than Brisbane-based, western addresses like Marburg, Rosewood and Haigslea are a much shorter trip for us than they would be for a city operator.

Why does the Warrego wreck windscreens?

Speed plus freight plus loose surface. Heavy vehicles flick up stone that is already sitting on the shoulder or at roadworks, and at highway speed that stone hits with several times the energy of a suburban impact. It makes deep breaks that run quickly, which is why we push Warrego commuters to get chips done promptly.

Can you do farm and machinery glass?

Often, yes. We fit truck, bus and heavy commercial glass as core business, so tray-backs, older utes and a lot of cab glass are well within scope. Give us the make, model and year — or a photo of the pane and its rubber — and we will tell you what can be sourced.
