Working in Cedar Grove

Farm country, working vehicles

Cedar Grove vehicles work for a living — utes, tractors, trailers and the odd truck. They also spend a lot of time on unsealed surfaces, which is the harshest environment a windscreen can live in.

Talk it through with a technician
  • Working vehicle glass

Utes, tray-backs, trucks and a good deal of machinery cab glass. We fit heavy vehicle screens as core business.

  • Unsealed road wear

Constant low stone strike. Chipping along the base of the screen and eventual pitting across the sweep.

  • Group the trip

Several vehicles at one property in one visit is far cheaper than separate call-outs.

What we do in Cedar Grove

Every auto glass job, brought to your driveway

Stone chip repair

Resin injected under vacuum into the break, cured and polished flush. Stops the chip spreading and keeps your original factory-sealed glass in the car.

About 30 minutes

Windscreen replacement

Old screen cut out cleanly, the pinchweld prepped and primed, new glass bonded with automotive urethane to the correct bead height.

60–90 minutes

Side & rear glass

Door glass, quarter glass and rear windows, including vacuuming the shattered tempered glass out of the door cavity, carpet and seat rails.

Same visit

ADAS calibration

Forward-facing camera re-aimed to the manufacturer’s target spec after fitting, so lane keeping and emergency braking read the road correctly.

Cedar Grove FAQs

What locals ask

General questions on the full FAQ page.

Do you come this far south?

Yes — Cedar Grove and Cedar Vale are inside our service area with no call-out fee. Because we are based at Yamanto in Ipswich rather than in Brisbane, the southern rural belt is a reasonable run for us. More notice than a suburban job helps us group the trip.

Can you do several vehicles at a property?

Yes, and out here it is the sensible way to do it. While one screen cures the technician repairs chips on the next vehicle. One trip, several vehicles, a fraction of the cost of separate visits.

My windscreen is hazy rather than chipped. What is that?

Pitting — thousands of microscopic impacts accumulated from years of unsealed roads, which scatter oncoming headlights into a glare. It is extremely common on rural vehicles and it cannot be repaired or polished out. Replacement is the only fix, and it is a genuine safety matter on unlit roads.
