Winding mountain approach

The roads through Cedar Creek are narrow, winding and tree-lined, with loose gravel washed onto the seal after every decent rain. Branch strike and wildlife at dusk add to it.

Talk it through with a technician
  • Gravel wash after rain

The week after heavy rain is reliably our busiest here. Grit comes off the shoulders onto the seal.

  • Branch and wildlife strike

Often a crack rather than a chip, and cracks in the sweep mean replacement.

  • Worth not driving in

Getting a car from Cedar Creek to a glass shop is half a day. We come out for the same price.

Cedar Creek FAQs

What locals ask

General questions on the full FAQ page.

Why is damage worse after rain out here?

Rain washes gravel and grit off the shoulders and driveways onto the narrow winding seal, and the next few days of traffic flick it up. It is one of the most reliable patterns we see — the week after heavy rain is consistently our busiest for Cedar Creek, Mount Crosby and the other bush suburbs.

A branch hit the screen. Repair or replace?

Depends what it left. A single small break can often be repaired like any chip, but branch strike more often produces a crack, and a crack over about 15 cm or in the driver's line of sight means replacement. Send a photo and we will give you a straight answer.

Is Cedar Creek inside your area?

Yes, with no call-out fee, though we ask for a bit more notice so we can group the trip with other southern work. It is one of the areas where mobile service genuinely saves you half a day.
