Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use this website, ask us for a quote, or book us to repair or replace glass in your vehicle.

Effective 27 July 2026 · Version 1.0

1. About these terms

This website is operated by Express Auto Glass (“we”, “us”, “our”) of 6–8 Belar St, Yamanto QLD 4305. By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Sections 4 to 11 also apply when you engage us to carry out work, whether you booked by phone, by email or through this website. Where we give you a separate written quote or invoice, that document and these terms are read together; if they conflict, the quote or invoice prevails.

2. Using this website

You may use this site to find information about our services and to contact us. You must not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that damages or interferes with it;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it or to our systems;
  • submit false, misleading or abusive content through our enquiry form; or
  • scrape, republish or commercially reuse our content without our written permission.

We try to keep the site available at all times but we do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

3. Information on this site

The content on this site — including guidance on repair versus replacement, timeframes, roadworthy rules and ADAS — is general information only. It is not advice about your particular vehicle, and it is not legal advice.

Statements about Queensland roadworthy requirements reflect our understanding at the time of writing. Regulations change. Always check the current requirements with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, or ask us and we will tell you what we see in practice.

4. Quotes

Quotes are free and are based on the information you give us — usually the make, model, year and a description or photograph of the damage. A quote is an offer by us that you may accept; it is not a booking until we confirm a time.

Unless we say otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days and assumes the vehicle and the glass are as described. If the vehicle turns out to carry a different glass specification — sensors, heating, acoustic laminate, heads-up display or an ADAS camera we were not told about — or if there is corrosion or previous damage around the windscreen aperture that has to be treated, we will stop, explain what we have found, and give you a revised price before continuing.

You are never charged more than the quoted amount without your agreement.

5. Bookings, access and cancellation

We are a mobile service. When you book, you agree to:

  • give us accurate details of the vehicle and where it will be;
  • make sure the vehicle is accessible, legally parked and on reasonably level ground, with about a metre of clear working space down one side;
  • obtain any permission we need to attend a private car park, building, depot or worksite; and
  • remove valuables from the vehicle before we start.

If we cannot safely access or work on the vehicle when we arrive, or nobody is there to give us access, we may need to reschedule. We may charge a reasonable fee for a wasted attendance where the cause was outside our control, and we will tell you before we invoice it.

Weather affects glass bonding. Heavy rain can compromise the adhesive, so we may reschedule rather than fit a windscreen that will leak. We will always tell you as early as we can.

You can cancel or reschedule at no charge by giving us reasonable notice. Where we have already ordered non-stock or specially sourced glass for your vehicle, we may pass on the supplier's charge if it cannot be returned.

6. Performing the work

We use automotive glass and urethane adhesives appropriate to the vehicle, and industry-accepted installation methods. Unless we specifically quote original manufacturer glass, we may fit quality aftermarket glass of an equivalent specification — this is what most insurers fund, and we will tell you what we are quoting.

Safe drive-away time. Urethane needs time to cure. We will tell you the safe drive-away time for the adhesive used on your vehicle before we leave — typically about one hour. You must not drive the vehicle before that time. A windscreen is a structural component and an airbag backstop; driving early puts you at risk and may void the workmanship warranty.

Chip repairs. A resin repair restores strength and stops the damage spreading. It is not cosmetic — a faint blemish normally remains, and in a small number of cases a chip may spread during or after repair despite correct technique. Where a repair fails and the windscreen must be replaced, we will credit the repair charge against the replacement.

Some things are outside our control: existing corrosion under the glass, previously poor installations, brittle trims and clips on older vehicles, and seized fasteners. We will point these out where we find them.

7. ADAS calibration

If your vehicle has a forward-facing camera mounted to the windscreen, it must be recalibrated after the glass is replaced. Where calibration is required we will quote it up front as a separate item.

If you instruct us to replace a windscreen but decline calibration, we may decline the job. Where we proceed at your direction, you accept that driver assistance systems may not function correctly and you are responsible for having the vehicle calibrated before relying on them.

8. Insurance claims

We work with all insurers and will help with the paperwork, but the contract for the work is between you and us. You remain responsible for the invoice, including any excess and anything your insurer declines to cover. Whether a claim is accepted, and what it covers, is a matter between you and your insurer. We are not your agent in dealing with them and we do not give advice about your policy.

9. Payment

Unless we have agreed account terms in writing, payment is due on completion of the work. We will tell you at the time of booking which payment methods we accept.

All prices quoted to consumers include GST. Where an account is overdue we may charge reasonable recovery costs. Risk in the glass passes to you on installation; title in any supplied glass remains with us until we have been paid in full.

10. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel the contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Our workmanship. Separately from and in addition to those rights, we stand behind our own installation work. If a windscreen we fitted leaks, whistles or shows a defect in our workmanship, tell us and we will come back and put it right. This does not cover new stone damage, accident damage, corrosion that existed before we attended, or work performed by someone else afterwards.

11. Liability

Subject always to section 10, and to the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of use of the vehicle, or loss of income arising from the work or from any delay;
  • we are not liable for loss or damage caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, supplier delays and pre-existing vehicle condition;
  • we are not liable for loss or damage arising from you driving the vehicle before the safe drive-away time we gave you; and
  • where we are liable and the liability can lawfully be limited, our liability is limited at our option to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

We do not accept liability for items left in the vehicle.

12. Intellectual property

All content on this website — text, photographs, the Express Auto Glass name and logo, layout and code — is owned by us or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not reproduce, republish or use our content commercially without our written permission.

13. Third-party links and embeds

This site links to third-party sites and embeds a Google Maps frame. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

14. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you use the site or book work is the version that applies. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.
